Swiss Nature offers your skin the daily care it needs. The products have been developed to answer all demands ; they all are for dry/sensitive or normal/oily skin.

Extract of Edelweiss, symbol of the Alps, can be found in all the Swiss Nature products. Wild Edelweiss grows at an altitude of 1'800 to 3'000 metres.

Edelweiss is a protected plant in all the alpine countries and picking it has been forbidden in Switzerland since 1962. To obtain the same quality as the one of the wild plant, studies have been carried out by the Federal Research Station in vegetal production in Changins.





These studies determined what the best conditions to grow Edelweiss were. The plants we use are grown without fertiliser, pesticide or herbicide. They are biologically grown in Bruson (Valis) at an altitude of 1'100 m.

Each flower is picked by hand. Then, within two hours after the picking, the active principles are extracted. Thanks to this procedure, very good quality extracts can be obtained, rich in active principles.

Edelweiss

Edelweiss extracts contain tannins and flavonoids. Tannins waterproof and protect the skin external layers from the environmental aggressions (cigarette smoke, sun). They help the regeneration of tissues and also have anti bacteriological, antiseptic and antifungal properties. Tannins are also knows as free radical scavengers. Flavonoids have anti inflammatory and anti oxidant properties. They soothe and soften the skin.
